Lesley and Drew travelled all the way from the United States to say their vows in Ireland, a country they completely fell in love with. For their wedding day, they chose the stunning Tinakilly Country House Hotel, set in the heart of County Wicklow – a perfect blend of elegance, history and beautiful surroundings.

Wedding Preparations at Tinakilly Country House Hotel

The entire day took place at Tinakilly, which made everything relaxed and well organised. Marta and I arrived early to photograph the morning preparations. Lesley was getting ready in one room with her bridesmaids, while Drew was in another with his groomsmen. We split up – Marta stayed with Lesley and the girls, while I joined Drew and the lads.

The atmosphere during preparations was brilliant. Lesley’s dress was absolutely beautiful, and the girls were full of energy – lots of chatting, laughter and excitement. As usual, the lads were ready a bit quicker, so once they were dressed, we headed to the bar for a traditional Irish pint before making our way to the ceremony.

Outdoor Wedding Ceremony in the Gardens

The ceremony took place outdoors in the gardens of Tinakilly Country House Hotel and it was simply stunning. It was the 30th of September, and the early autumn colours were already visible – warm tones in the trees, soft light and perfect weather.

The ceremony itself was very emotional. Lesley was walked down the aisle by her parents, which brought tears and smiles from everyone present. The moment Lesley and Drew saw each other for the first time was full of genuine emotion. After exchanging rings and sealing it with their first kiss as husband and wife, the ceremony came to a beautiful close.

Family and Romantic Photographs

Straight after the ceremony, we made the most of the beautiful light and surroundings and took family photographs in the garden. We started with a large group photo, followed by close family, parents, siblings and the bridal party.

Before joining their guests, we also took a short romantic walk through the Tinakilly gardens for some couple portraits. The grounds are stunning – with mature trees, hidden corners and a lovely gazebo – perfect for natural, relaxed photographs without rushing.

Drinks Reception and Wedding Dinner

From there, Lesley and Drew could finally relax and enjoy their drinks reception back at the hotel. It was a calm and joyful moment where they could spend time with their guests and soak in the atmosphere of the day.

The evening continued with dinner and heartfelt speeches. Before the first dance, we stepped outside for a short evening portrait session. As the rain started to fall, Lesley and Drew shared an umbrella in front of Tinakilly Country House Hotel, creating a beautifully atmospheric and romantic moment.

Their first dance that followed was truly unforgettable. Lesley and Drew had clearly put a lot of work into their routine. Their dance was confident, elegant and a joy to watch. Lesley even changed into a second dress for the first dance, and they finished with a dramatic dip that perfectly ended the moment.
