Ciara & Evan | 30th August 2024

Some weddings just have a certain magic – and Ciara and Evan’s day at Rathsallagh Country House was exactly that. From start to finish, it was a celebration full of emotion, beauty, and joy, wrapped in the charm of a venue that doesn’t feel like a hotel at all. Rathsallagh is entirely devoted to weddings – and it shows. Every member of the team made the couple feel like this day was theirs and theirs alone.

And what a day it was – glorious sunshine from beginning to end, not a drop of rain, and a golden sunset that looked like it had been ordered specially.

Morning Moments

Preparations began on-site at Rathsallagh, where Ciara and her bridesmaids enjoyed a relaxed and joyful morning. The atmosphere in the room was filled with excitement and laughter as the glam team worked their magic. Marta captured it all – the tiny details, the elegance of the dress and shoes, the emotional quiet moments, and all the behind-the-scenes fun that made the morning so special.

Meanwhile, Evan was enjoying the perks of Rathsallagh with his groomsmen – yes, there’s a jacuzzi, and yes, they made the most of it! Marcin joined them as they relaxed and got ready, capturing candid moments and brotherly banter before they suited up for the ceremony.

Ceremony in the Chapel

The couple’s ceremony took place on-site in the intimate Rathsallagh chapel – a beautiful and emotional exchange that had everyone smiling (and a few wiping away tears). Ciara was walked down the aisle by her proud father, candles were lit by the mums, and the couple exchanged rings and vows in a deeply heartfelt moment. They walked out into the sunlight as husband and wife, full of joy and beaming with love.

Joe, the owner of Rathsallagh, was there throughout the day – congratulating the couple right after the ceremony and making sure everything went smoothly. His warm presence and attention to detail make such a difference. Tara, the coordinator, and the entire staff were absolutely wonderful – helpful, kind, and totally in tune with what Ciara and Evan needed.

Drinks Reception & Speeches

With such incredible weather, the drinks reception was held outside, allowing guests to enjoy the sunshine, chat, and relax in the gardens. Staff moved effortlessly through the crowd with trays of canapés and drinks, adding to the laid-back and luxurious atmosphere.

We did all the family photographs in a relaxed atmosphere—not needing to go far, as the surrounding greenery provided a beautiful natural backdrop. It all flowed seamlessly: each group had their photo taken and could then return to the drinks reception to grab a drink and unwind, making the whole process feel easy and enjoyable.

Before dinner was called, both dads gave their speeches – a great move that let them relax and enjoy the rest of the evening. After a delicious dinner, the speeches resumed with heartfelt words from the groom and his best man, followed by the cutting of the cake.

Sunset, Oak Tree & First Dance

Just before the first dance, we caught the most incredible sunset over the Rathsallagh grounds. Ciara and Evan took a quiet moment together beneath the oak tree as the sky lit up in gold and pink – the kind of moment that feels like a dream.

And then – it was party time. Their first dance kicked off the evening, and from there Electric Circus took over. This band knows how to bring the energy – the dance floor was packed and buzzing well into the night.

A Note on Collaboration

It was an absolute pleasure working alongside the talented videographer Dónal O’Connor from OC Wedding Videography.

Ciara and Evan – thank you for sharing your incredible day with us. Your love, your energy, and that sunset will be hard to forget. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness, laughter, and sunshine.
