The Heritage Killenard Wedding – Jessie & Darren

Jessie and Darren’s wedding day was relaxed, emotional and full of memorable moments from start to finish.

The morning preparations began in Kiltegan, where Marta joined Jessie at her new home. The house was beautiful and filled with positive energy, with music playing as Jessie and her bridesmaids got ready together. The atmosphere was calm, fun and full of excitement – the perfect start to the day.

At the same time, I spent the morning with Darren during his preparations. It was just as relaxed there, with plenty of smiles and laughter as everyone got ready for the ceremony.

The wedding ceremony took place in the local church and was deeply emotional. One of the most touching moments was Jessie being walked down the aisle by her father. After the ceremony, guests gathered outside the church in lovely sunshine to congratulate the newlyweds, followed by family photographs just outside the church.

From there, everyone travelled to The Heritage Killenard, where Jessie and Darren were welcomed with champagne – a fantastic start to the celebrations. One of the first things we did on arrival was a large group photograph on the hotel’s impressive staircase. The hotel staff had everything perfectly organised, which meant the photo was quick, easy and stress-free.

The drinks reception followed, with guests enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of the venue and the beautiful surroundings of County Laois. Later in the day, the light turned absolutely perfect, so we took Jessie and Darren outside for sunset portraits. The warm evening light and open countryside around The Heritage created ideal conditions for some truly special photographs.I stayed through to the first dance to capture those final moments of an unforgettable wedding day.
