Newbay House Wexford - Emma and Mark

Morning Preparations at Newbay House

Emma and Mark’s wedding day at Newbay House Wexford was relaxed, full of warmth and emotion, and a real pleasure to photograph from start to finish.

All of the morning preparations took place at Newbay House Hotel, which made the start of the day wonderfully calm. Because Emma and Mark were getting ready in the same location, I was able to move easily between their rooms and capture both sides of the preparations. The atmosphere was brilliant – the girls were in great form, the lads were clearly enjoying themselves, and there was a lovely buzz in the air.

Emma’s dress was absolutely stunning and suited her perfectly. Emma herself is a wedding beautician, so we actually see each other from time to time at other weddings, which made it even more special to photograph her own big day. Their children were also there during the morning, adding plenty of natural moments and smiles to the preparations. We took relaxed photographs with the bridesmaids and the children before everyone made their way towards the ceremony.

A Bright and Emotional Ceremony

The ceremony took place in one of the beautiful rooms at Newbay House. It is bright, elegant and full of character – a soft white interior with a rustic feel, enhanced by older wooden details that give the space real charm. Emma was walked down the aisle by her dad, and the ceremony itself was full of emotion. They exchanged rings, shared their first kiss as husband and wife, and the room was filled with love.

Family, Bridal Party and Couple Portraits

After the ceremony, we headed outside for family photographs, bridal party photos, and portraits with parents and siblings. We also took some time for a short walk around the grounds for romantic couple photographs, which turned out beautifully. One of the highlights was a big group photograph with everyone who attended the wedding – always a favourite image in the album, as guests love spotting themselves later.

Speeches, Cake Cutting and First Dance

Following the drinks reception, Emma and Mark made a fantastic entrance into the ballroom for the speeches. There were plenty of emotional moments, laughter, and a real sense of celebration. Before the first dance, they cut the cake, and shortly after, they shared their first dance together.

I stayed until the first dance and then said my goodbyes, leaving Emma and Mark to enjoy the rest of their evening with family and friends. It was a genuinely lovely Newbay House Wexford wedding, and I was delighted to be there to capture it for them.
