Dunboyne Castle Hotel – Maurese & Daniel
Golden hour moments with Maurese and Daniel in the gardens of Dunboyne Castle Hotel
Maurese and Daniel’s wedding at Dunboyne Castle Hotel was a brilliant mix of elegance, personality, and relaxed autumn vibes. Taking place on a sunny October day, their celebration was full of thoughtful details, warm emotions, and a few fun surprises that made the day truly their own.
From the church ceremony to the evening celebrations at the hotel, everything flowed beautifully, helped by great planning, an amazing team, and a couple who clearly enjoyed every moment.
Morning Preparations
The morning preparations were calm and full of anticipation. Small details were carefully prepared, setting the tone for the day ahead. We loved all the little Lego touches that popped up during the morning – the ring box with Lego bride and groom figures, the Lego handcuffs – it was such a fun, brilliant detail that really made the day feel like them.
Church Ceremony
Maurese and Daniel chose a church ceremony, which was emotional, meaningful, and beautifully traditional. The sunny October weather made a huge difference, with soft natural light pouring in and creating a lovely atmosphere both inside and outside the church.
Dunboyne Castle Hotel Reception
The celebrations continued at Dunboyne Castle Hotel, a venue known for its elegant interiors and spacious grounds. The hotel provided a perfect backdrop for both relaxed moments and lively celebrations later in the day.
One of the standout details was the printed gold guest names, a stylish and elegant touch that fitted beautifully with the overall look of the wedding. These small details really elevated the décor and showed how much thought Maurese and Daniel put into their day.
Unique Wedding Details
This wedding was full of creative ideas. Alongside the Lego handcuffs, the couple also had a cake with Lego bricks figures on the back, which brought smiles and laughter and reflected their personalities perfectly.
Another highlight was the live artist painting guests during the reception. This was a fantastic form of entertainment and gave guests a unique keepsake to take home, something a little different from the usual wedding favours.
An Autumn Evening to Remember
As the day moved into evening, the light softened and the atmosphere became even more romantic. We took a few quiet moments for evening portraits, including a timeless shot on the staircase inside the hotel and relaxed outdoor photos in the gardens, just as the sun was setting. These calm, atmospheric moments are always a favourite part of the day and a beautiful way to slow things down before the celebrations continue.
With evening portraits complete, Maurese and Daniel joined their guests and headed straight into their first dance, marking the start of a lively and joyful night at Dunboyne Castle Hotel.
Ps. The day ran incredibly smoothly thanks to Angela from The Wedding PA, who coordinated everything beautifully. If you’re planning your wedding and considering a coordinator, we can highly recommend Angela — https://www.theweddingpa.ie/
