Ballybeg House Wedding – Mandy & Michael
Autumn weddings always have something special about them, and Mandy and Michael’s intimate celebration at Ballybeg House was no exception. Their wedding took place on 11th October 2017, surrounded by the beautiful rural setting of this charming Wicklow venue.
Mandy and Michael are an amazing couple from Canada who planned their entire wedding from abroad. From the venue to the photographer and decorations, everything was organised online – and it all came together perfectly. They were incredibly relaxed, happy, and natural, which made photographing their day an absolute pleasure.
Ceremony at Ballybeg House Chapel
The ceremony took place in the small chapel at Ballybeg House, and the atmosphere inside was truly magical. Candlelight, stone walls, and wooden details created a warm, rustic feel that suited an autumn wedding beautifully. It was an incredibly intimate moment, with just four people present in total – the bride, groom, best man, and bridesmaid, all travelling from Canada for this special day.
At the end of the ceremony, Mandy and Michael shared their first dance right there in the chapel, making the moment even more personal and unforgettable.
Portraits Around the Grounds
After the ceremony, we spent some time exploring the Ballybeg House grounds for relaxed and fun photographs. This venue offers so much variety – from the vintage pub to the gardens and scenic walking paths, every corner is full of character and charm. It’s a perfect location for a small wedding, where everything is close and stress-free.
It was such an enjoyable experience to be part of Mandy and Michael’s day, and a great example of how beautifully a destination wedding in Ireland can work.
